„Phat Analog“ was produced by Peter Krischker. This timeless voice- and performance library featuring Jupiter 8 pads & arpeggios and many other analog synth sounds is an ultimate extension for your instrument.

A main emphasis are the typical Minimoog synth leads. But also other spectacular synth leads like sync lead (oscillator sync) or distorted leads with similar sound like Jan Hammer or Jordan Rudess are highlights of the product.
Further there are many synths of the categories synth bass, synth strings, synth pads, synth bass, sequencer and noise sound effects.

The Samples were mainly produced with the famous synths Minimoog and Jupiter 8 („JP-8“).

For musical reference recordings of musicians bands like Pink Floyd, Manfred Mann (Earth Band), Camel, Lake, Tangerine Dream, Jean Michel Jarre, Jordan Rudess (Dream Theather, Liquid Tension Experiment), Jan Hammer, Steve Winwood and many others have been used as an inspiration.

The voices are playable highly dynamic using velocity, modulation wheel, knobs, ribbon control and assignable functions.

The effects of the voices are very different – sometimes very spacious, sometimes absolutely dry for getting real vintage sound.
You can set the effect depth very quickly using ASSIGN 1 (Reverb) und ASSIGN 2 (Delay).

The vibrato of the synth leads can be controlled with the modulation wheel and sometimes additional with aftertouch. In the XS Performances FC1 und FC2 are routed to control #001 (modulation wheel) to control vibrato using a foot controller. This might be helpful if you need both hands for playing in case of split performances.

The ribbon controller has been assigned in quite a few cases to parameters like filter attack or portamento time.

Using the Assignabe Functions (AF1&2) of the XS-series you can select alternate sound settings.

The versions for MOX, MOTIF-RACK XS, MOTIF-RACK ES, MO6 / MO8 and S90 ES were maded based on the Preset Waveforms, which are including also excellent analog synthwaves, but with limited space.

For MOTIF XS / XF und MOTIF ES there is an additional User Voice Bank (128 Voices), which also includes voices without user waveforms but based on internal ROM waves. This version doesn’t require installation of optional DIMMs or Flash Memory. Basically we recommend using the sample-based version because of the higher waveform quality. But surely you will find also some very interesting alternate voices in the version without samples.

The 32 split-performances for the XS-series are using the left manual for accompaniment (drums, bass, pad/arpeggio) and the right manual for the synth lead part. Some of the Performances are modified MOTIF XS Factory Performances.
