Following on from the "Nostalgia" sound library, which was more oriented towards a nostalgic look back at instruments and sounds from the past decades, "Evolution" is more oriented towards current trends in sound and musical styles. As with "Nostalgia", the focus is on authentic analog synth sounds based on sampled single cycle Waveforms and fat Unison, PWM and Sync Waveforms. The Performances programmed on this basis are, however, clearly more modern inspired by recent trends of "Electronic Dance Music" (EDM). Beside typical Dance and standard Electronic sounds, two special sound programmings are important features of this product:

•  Typical TB-303 Bassline emulations
•  New, unbelieveable fat dance bass drums that can be changed in a flash with the Template Performance"Kick Designer"

"Evolution" is a further development of the successful concept of "Nostalgia" with new and expanded content. The User Waveforms and User Arpeggios of "Nostalgia" are completely included in "Evolution" as a basis. This makes it easier to combine the Performances of both Libraries in whole or in part. "Evolution" includes 26 additional User Waveforms (Analog Oscillators and Dance bass drums) with a size of 29 MB. For reasons of compatibility with "Nostalgia", these are located on the rear User Waveform memory locations. Of course it is not necessary to purchase "Nostalgia" in order to use "Evolution". The inclusion of the already released User Waveforms from "Nostalgia" is taken into account with a lower price of "Evolution". As with "Nostalgia", the User Waveforms come from popular classic Analog Synths such as Oberheim Xpander, Jupiter-8, Minimoog and - last but not least - the new SEQUENTIAL PRO3, whose basic sound was a focus during sampling.

An outstanding innovation in both "Nostalgia" and "Evolution" is the concept of the "Magic Knobs". The Assignable Knobs are used for a “Smart Edit”, which you can easily use to program your own analog synth sounds in an intuitive way in a few minutes or seconds, even without prior knowledge. This is possible with the help of perfectly prepared templates with only eight controllers. Unlike earlier products, this does not just modify Preset sounds, but rather an "edit from scratch" process. This means that an initialized, unfiltered sound with raw oscillators is assumed. So there are no complex, difficult to understand sound programmings "under the hood" that would make it difficult to create your own sound creations. The “Magic Knobs” are available in all parts of every Performance (with the exception of drum parts and a few sound effects). This means simple sound programming uing the Assignable Knobs is not limited to the Template Performances.

A total of 40 Template Performances provide an excellent base for your own analog sounds, which can be programmed without having to go into EDIT mode. Most templates are based on User Waveforms.
